• Device Data: As a web and mobile application, we may collect basic technical information such as browser type, operating system, and network connection status to ensure the app functions correctly, especially in offline mode.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect or receive to:

• Provide and Manage Your Account: To create and secure your account and track your progress across quizzes.
• Operate Leaderboards: Your username and scores are used to populate our public leaderboards, fostering a competitive educational environment.
• Deliver Offline Functionality: Your profile data and quiz progress are stored locally on your device (using IndexedDB and LocalStorage) to allow you to study and take quizzes without an internet connection.
• Administer Rewards: To track the D-TECH points you earn and spend in our virtual store.

3. Data Storage and Security

We prioritize the security of your data:

• Cloud Storage: Your account information and quiz statistics are securely transmitted to and stored on our backend servers (utilizing Cloudflare KV and Firebase).
• Local Storage: Because our application is designed to work offline, a copy of your profile data and downloaded educational datasets are stored locally on your device.
• Security Measures: We implement standard security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your personal information. However, no electronic transmission over the internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

4. Third-Party Integrations and Ads

Our application may contain third-party advertisements and links. We currently partner with Monetag to provide ads that allow users to earn D-TECH points.

• These third-party ad networks may use cookies, web beacons, and other tracking technologies to collect information about your use of the application and other websites.
• We do not share your personal registration information (like your password or real name) with these ad networks.

5. Android App Permissions

If you use our Android application, we request the following permissions to ensure proper functionality:

• Internet & Network State: To synchronize your quiz scores, fetch new datasets, and load ads.
• Storage (on older devices): To save downloaded datasets for offline use.
• Request Install Packages: To facilitate in-app updates (OTA updates) when a new version of D-TECH Quizzes is released.
